Tana instantly fell deeply in love with the wedding dresses as soon on, designer Johana Hernandez, told ET over the phone a day after the nuptials as she tried them. For her first look, Tana wore a curve-hugging veronica that is all-white with lace detailing and a long, floor-length lace veil. She then switched to a wonderful ruffled Cindy ball gown that featured a white corset-style top with sweetheart neckline and a voluminous pink skirt that is ombre.

Now, Hernandez is sharing with ET details of how she and Tana created her wedding that is perfect day, the length of time it took to create the dresses and much more!

Entertainment Tonight: Did Tana reach out to you to definitely design the dresses?

Johana Hernandez: The dresses come from my collections that are current. The pink ombre gown, Cindy, was designed for my Paris Fashion Week show after which the other Veronica gown I experienced within my other collection, and she loved them. I didn’t even have to produce something new because she was enthusiastic about them. Tana is clearly the first bride that has ever worn the pink ombre dress, in order that was something exclusive to her. I worked along with her stylist named Tyler Lambert after which she came over to my store and she just loved everything. I altered it to her body, because all our dresses are made with the bride’s measurements when she chose the dress.

Did Tana make any special requests, ask for changes when it comes to dresses — or did she stay with the designs that are original?

No, she stuck with all the original designs and I believed that was beautiful because usually brides are actually specific, especially a hollywood bride, they want to have certain details. Tana was very confident about herself. She loved everything. Literally, we tried from the the first dress, then a second dress and therefore was it. She did not try anything else. She just loved everything and it also was so excellent. She was very easy to work with and I loved that she liked to be extra. She just desired to shine and she likes shiny and sparkles, this is exactly why the dress that is first perfect for her. It absolutely was still sparkly but elegant during the time that is same. It was had and form-fitting lace upon it too.

Personally I think like if she could have been safe, she would have appeared as if every other bride and she didn’t — and I also genuinely believe that’s why everyone loves it. She is young so that it goes with her age. I made her dresses form-fitted because she is curvy, she is busty. She wanted her butt to appear great, therefore I did that in the first dress.

Did she always want two dresses?

No, it just came up because she loved them a great deal that she couldn’t make up her mind, so she chose two. And it actually ended up being along with theme that she wanted, that was a blush color.

The engagement was just a month long, how enough time did you need to produce the dresses?

It absolutely was an extremely limited time. The great thing was that she loved the collection thus I was able to rush it because I experienced to rush the current designs. It had beenn’t me, that was great because as a designer it’s a huge compliment for the client and the brides to love what you do like I was making something that was completely new and, to. In addition do custom-made dresses, but I think if they love everything you get it done’s just very rewarding.

The length of time was the procedure through the first consultation to the marriage?

I can’t really share that because it was so fast. The thing I can share is that each dress takes about three to six months to produce. To make certain that is really what was great, that she chose something which had been through the collection and then everything is hand made.

How dress that is many did she have?

Only 1. Close to the dot. Just one and she just loved it. I already knew what I would definitely do. I’ve been achieving this for a really time that is long. You saw her pictures, her dress was very on point, nothing was wrong together with them. It had been just great, along with her stylist Tyler was very helpful. He’s been working along with her for a long time and that helped because he already knew her style and knew that I was the right fit for them.

Did any of her family or friends go directly to the fittings?

It had been just Tyler additionally the assistant. Her schedule is quite busy and hectic. And so I closed the shop for her and she came in very at the beginning of the morning. She was so kind, grateful and excited.

Did Jake, her fiance, have any say in her own decision making?

It was just her. Needless to say, he’s not likely to see anything ahead of the wedding.

How did she react when she tried the final dresses on?

It was loved by her! She was like, ‘I can’t believe it!’ She was so happy. In the pictures whenever we’re both in the fitting room, clearly that dress was so big though it wasn’t fitted on her around the waist and she was already so happy even. I loved that she was a visionary, she sees it beside what it really is. Some brides can’t picture the final dress in it without it being perfectly fitted, to make certain that’s why they don’t choose a dress and return back and forth until it’s perfect. And you can’t have it perfect until it is ordered by you.

Are there any hidden personal items added into the dresses?

All my dresses have inside corsets and bras, so they snatch your waist. The ball that is big have an internal petticoat, so she was super comfortable walking even though the dress is super extra through the outside. All things are corset fitted.

What materials were utilized on both dresses?

On the ruffled one, that is English mesh and was hand dyed to be ombre therefore the ruffles are sewn and made by hand, so it takes months to do all of that work. The fabric does not come that way, you must create it by dyeing it colors that are different. And for the Veronica gown, it was a mesh with shimmer about it and we also had an Italian embroidery that continues on top from it with beards and pearls. Her veil has also been ours. Her veil had Swarovski crystals on it and it also was a really beautiful lace.

Did Tana have a vision for her dresses or a look she was going for?

No, she really trusted me and trusted her stylist and went utilizing the flow. She really loved it and there was clearly never a doubt inside her mind that those are not the dresses. She was certain of them. Her bride story is amazing and she looked so good and fresh.

Given that designer, what was your inspiration when making those two dresses?

I feel like my brides are young and fun, but she’s still sexy for me. For Tana, the first dress is for a woman who are not afraid to shine, literally. She’s got her very own personal style, isn’t afraid to express her personality through her wardrobe, and I also believe that’s really essential for your wedding day. It is important for her to feel just like herself and therefore she is not a cookie-cutter bride. She actually is Tana, she’s her.

The pink one, it is simply fun and various. The same, she actually is bold but she’s soft — as well as the same time frame it is sexy since it gets the perfect amount of cleavage and has a super exaggerated train. I am just inspired by that girl who is not afraid to shine inside and out.

Hernandez is likely to be presenting her next collection Sept. 29 at the Ritz Carlton in Paris, France, for Paris Fashion Week.
